Sikringen sperrer fysisk tennstemplet og hevarmen i bakre stilling, i midtre posisjon kan våpenet tømmes med tennstempel sikret.

Kan ikke brukes med alle typer remington avtrekk, noen har for mye bevegelse i innvendige komponenter. M70 fungerer med bl.a. orginal avtrekk, shilen,Triggertech og Jewell

Standard størrelse er litt trangere på gjengene enn en orginal 700 boltmuffe, egnet for remington kloner og noen trange remington sluttstykker

Oversize størrelse gir trang tilpassing i de fleste orginale sluttstykker, noe mer tilpassing og kan måtte gåes over med gjengebakke til noen trange remington sluttstykker

Krever tilpassing, må monteres av kompetent børsemaker

Kan også brukes på Remington Seven

Hvis boltmuffa er av typen med nøkkellåsing, må også tennstempel/hane skiftes ut
